Hoher Besuch - Cologne - 2009 helicopter, electrical motor, electric current 1290 x 960 x 300 cm / 507 3/4 x 378 x 118 in "Hoher Besuch" or "High-Ranking Visit" likewise bears the portent of a memento mori, but in a more stately, if menacing mode. For this sculpture, Sailstorfer has taken a French SE 3160 Alouette 111, replaced its engine with a silent electric motor and painted the helicopter's shell white and its windows black. Located on top of the building that now is the domicile of the Stiftung Skulpturenpark Köln, the blade of the helicopter is periodically activated, so that it noiselessly rotates as if in a vacuum.
