This second part of the global player series takes the black garbage bag as an example of objects that don't show much about their origin or destination. A black garbage bag sits in the corner of the room. A silent rustle comes from a speaker inside the bag. Several framed marker-drawings lean against the opposite wall. They depict the black garbage bag from different angles. The drawings carry subtitles in different languages: 'Made in Korea', 'Made in Thailand', 'Made in Lebanon', 'Made in Finland". The drawings are made on-site and carry different subtitles each time the work is shown. The selection of subtitles is made according to the encounters I have while setting up the show. I ask people whom I encounter to write down "made in [ ]" in their mother tongue.
