"unternehmen:bermuda" was an attempt to confront the industry with its position in the cultural field and to confront myself with the industry. A meeting with members of the BDI (German industry, jury of 'ars viva' prize) took place at a bus stop in Berlin. The bus stop is located between three coordinates: a hospital, a natural history museum and a museum of modern art on Invalidenstrasse in Berlin. It functioned as neutral territory for a collective performance within these coordinates. A lecture was given. A drawing was applied to the information plaque. Slide viewers were handed out from a metal suitcase. The situation was filmed and photographed. The intervention tried to focus on problems of dependency and interaction. It became a collective performance around the rituals of knowledge- and image-transfer. In the process of this work, materials from the bus stop were transferred into a video installation and a small catalogue. One video observes the meeting from afar. The other one contextualizes the action with fictional and historical elements. The videos are installed back-to-back on a floating screen. A monitor on the side of the screen shows a 3D model of the installation.
